  • PJO Archaeology
    PJO Archaeology is a York-based archaeological consultancy providing a wide range of services to commercial and academic clients. It is managed by Dr Patrick Ottaway, formerly Head of Fieldwork at York Archaeological Trust.


    Comprehensive map and GIS database of glacial landforms and features related to the last British Ice Sheet. Available as pdf files or GIS data stored in shapefiles as fully-attributed polygons or arcs which can be loaded into many GIS or CAD software packages.
  • British Geological Survey
    Free downloads of both 2D and 3D digital geoscientific data, including digital onshore geological maps at 1:625 000 scale covering Great Britain. Bedrock geology and superficial deposits themes are made available.




  • Current Archaeology
    Current Archaeology (CA) is the UK’s leading (and best-selling) archaeology magazine.
  • Internet Archaeology
    Online academic journal, published by the Council for British Archaeology and hosted by the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. Issues are published twice a year.
